Open Question: What paint brush is best to use with acrylic art paint?

I went to go buy some of my standard little black foamie brushes and the price went up to .39 each!! Granted, I only use these for "junk" applications, back rounds, gesso, decoupage, and it was fine to use them and then throw them out when they were 4 for a buck, but now, I just can't justify it in my head anymore. . .
